Michigan Golf Hall of Fame Inductees

Bill McDonald

Billy Mac, as he is known in Michigan golf circles, came to us from Kansas with a whole suitcase full of trophies including the 1964 US Amateur Public Links title. Over a 20-year period he dominated public golf tournaments in Michigan by winning every MPGA title in addition to the Michigan Amateur in 1981. In service to golf, he served as President of the MPGA and as a GAM Governor for 6 years. Between working as a school counselor and winning tournaments, Bill earned a PhD from Wayne State University . He was elected to the Michigan Golf Hall of Fame in 1992.
