Michigan Golf Hall of Fame Inductees

Cindy Hill

The South Haven native was a dominant national amateur player before turning professional at age 31. The 1974 U.S. Women's Amateur champion then won twice in a 14-year LPGA Tour career and resides in Fort Lauderdale Fla. While an amateur, she was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate from the University of Miami, and lost in the finals of the 1970 and
'72 U.S. Amateurs before winning in '74. She also played on four Curtis Cup teams, and three World Cup teams. On the LPGA Tour, she finished 19th on the money list in 1987, the year of her win in the S&H Golf Classic and had five other top 10 finishes. Her other LPGA win was the 1984 Rail Charity Classic. Health problems (back) limited her play
on the LPGA Tour after 1988, but in 2003 Hill was still listed among the top 200 career money winners.
