The Michigan Golf Foundation CollectionAlong with portraits and plaques of all its members with displays in six rooms plus a library, the Michigan Golf Hall of Fame also houses an impressive collection of clubs, artifacts and memorabilia, donated by Hall of Fame members. The collection includes such notable items as: Chuck Kocsis’s mallet putter that he used to win the 1930 Michigan Amateur, the first of his record six Amateur championships; John Traub’s 1-iron that was instrumental in his 1980 National Club Professional Championship; Meg Mallon’s autographed team bag from a triumphant American Solheim Cup victory: Jeff Roth’s autographed bag from the 1996 PGA Cup; Ted Woehrle’s stimpmeter; and the autographs from the field of the 1947 PGA Championship at Plum Hollow including Sam Snead, Gene Sarazen and Ben Hogan. |
