Michigan Golf Hall of Fame Inductees  

Wilfred Reid

An Englishman by birth, Reid came to the United States in 1913 after a successful career in his native land. He represented England on nine international teams, winning the French Open and Swiss Open. Wilf won the 1926 Michigan PGA Championship and served as President of the Michigan Section from 1928 through 1930. As a golf architect, he built the famed Lake Course at Olympic, and Indianwood, along with many others in the United States, England, France, and Belgium. Elected to the Michigan Golf Hall of Fame in 1985.
